AIPFF Film Wins 7th UKIFF Award
TEHRAN (AIPFF) - "The Gas Regulator", the most popular film screened at Ammar Popular Film Festival (APFF), has won the best short-film award at the 7th London Iranian Film Festival.
Directed by Hossein Darabi, the work was previously honored at the Ammar International Film Festival for the best viewer ratings.
Previously, the work was awarded by 13 festivals in which it was lauded by the viewers as well.
The production is about a badly-installed gas regulator in a sideway that is too low and heads of the people crossing from the sideway hits to it regularly. After seeing this, everyone acts differently after having their head hit to the regulator; some get angry and some others try to find a way to prevent others from hurting their heads by the outstanding iron piece. A young cleric, for his part, finds a novel way to fix the problem…
Hossein Darabi, speaking about the firm’s international success, believes the film displays the social integrity of people for solving matters.
“By this film, we learned how a simple, but artistic work, can attract audiences from around the world and focus their attention on human values,” he says.
Regulator II has been recently produced and will be debuted at APFF 2017.
