Foreign Filmmaker Submit over 500 Films to AIPFF

TEHRAN (AIPFF) - Secretary of the 1st Ammar Int'l Popular Film Festival says over 500 documentaries on various topics have been so far submitted to the secretariat of the festival.

TEHRAN (AIPFF) – Secretary of the 1st Ammar Int’l Popular Film Festival says over 500 documentaries on various topics have been so far submitted to the secretariat of the festival.

Hamed Bamorovatnejad said the films were sent from some 59 countries of the world including India, China, Spain, Palestine, France and Mexico.
As he said the festival focuses on topics like Islamic awakening, the 99% movement in the US, the fall of the monarchies in the Middle East, the US’ invading policies, world arrogance, US policies against liberation movements in the world, Islamophobia, depression in the US and Europe, US surveillance of private conversations and many other related topics.
A cultural activist, Bamorovatnejad further added that so far 70 movies from Mexico, 52 from France, 40 from the Palestine, 21 from Spain and 19 films from Egypt have been sent to the festival.
This is the first time that the international section of the festival is operative having sparked a lot of interest among documentary filmmakers in the world to send their works to the event.
All interested directors may send their works to the festival’s secretariat no later than December 21, 2013.
