“APFF has been very instrumental to show the world, and especially the West, that revolutionary filmmakers are an indispensable part of the Iranian cinema after the 2009 sedition and the efforts made by westerners to rule out Islamic and religious filmmakers in Iran”, said in the policy-making council session of the festival.
