MILAN (AIPFF) – Ammar International Popular Film Festival will screen Hengameh in Milan after Quds Day demonstrations held in the city on Saturday July 02.

The movie, which has won the 6th Ammar Popular Film Festival’s Lantern in the fiction and best actor sections, was displayed at Om Abiha Quranic Center in the city.

Produced by the Office of Islamic Republic Cultural Front Studies and written by Amir Dasargar, the fiction film is about Hamed and Hengameh who are passing behind some stormy days. Hamed is losing his friends one by one in clashes with ISIS terrorists who have invaded Syrian Muslims, and Hengameh is completely preoccupied by her university exams. In the meantime, something comes up that revolts both of them.

Quds Day, officially called International Quds Day, is an annual event held on the last Friday (or week holiday) of Ramadan that was initiated by the Islamic Republic of Iran in 1979 to express support for the Palestinians and oppose Zionism and Israel’s existence, as well as Israel’s control of Jerusalem.
