TEHRAN (AIPFF) – Miguel Littin, the famous anti-coup Chilean director who has come to Iran as a special guest to the international section of Ammar Film Festival, visited Isfahan and the city’s beautiful places and sites.
Visiting places like Khajoo Bridge, Imam Square, Imam Mosque, Chahar Baq School, the Bazaar, and some other sites, Littin called them incredible and amazing. “Isafahan is a cultural city, full of beautiful monuments and I need more time to contemplate on them in order to understand their beauty.

Being impressed by the spiritual atmosphere of Imam Mosque, the Chilean director wanted to visit one of the religious places of the city to witness people saying prayers. When in Isafahan, Littin watched the film “Iranian Orphanage” by Abolqasem Talebi in a private screening. “Considering its historical narrative, Iranian Orphanage is a good film regarding the techniques and context, and it’s a kind of film that I praise,” he said, demanding to watch the movie for another time.

Miguel Littin, was honored during a cultural event by the International Section of Ammar Popular Film Festival (APFF) at Ibn Sina (Avicenna) Hall of Tehran University in his own presence yestarday August 30, 2016.
The theme of this year’s edition was the Influence of Arrogant World Powers on Other Countries. The festival sought to shed light on the CIA-assisted colonial coup in Iran, which overthrew the then government of democratically-elected then-Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddeq in favor of cementing the monarchical rule of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the then-Iranian monarch, back on August 19, 1953.
