GAZA (AIPFF) – The representative of Palestinian resistance groups at the Ammar Popular Film Festival (APFF) in Gaza says the festival sends the message of nations’ vigilance in the media war.
The festival was held in the Palestinian city for three days and was wrapped up on Monday after screening of a number of APFF films.
Arabic media outlets covering the event’s opening ceremony wrote: The festival, being held amidst ongoing clashes between the resistance front and regional aggressive forces, transmitted several messages through its short and features films which highlighted Islamic values and the war between Islam and the Israeli state.

In an address at the opening ceremony of the festival in Gaza, Ebrahim Abousher, representative of Palestinian resistance groups at the ceremony, said the APFF carries with it the message that nations are vigilant about the ongoing media war.
He said the presence of the representatives of Palestinian resistance groups in the ceremony is an indication of the unity of the Palestinian nation.
“The presence of the groups shows that Palestine will remain to exist as the compass of the Islamic and Arab world,” he said.
He said holding the festival with support from Iran shows that this country is consistently moving in the path of resistance and support for Palestine, adding that Palestine and Gaza, despite all the difficulties are presence in all forms of resistance and Iranians would support them despite all the troubles in the media war of the modern era.
Also in the opening ceremony of the festival in Gaza, the message of Mr. Vahid Jalili, head of the festival’s decision making council, was read to the audience.
Through the message, Mr. Jalili said the APFF films are aimed at nothing but depicting the world of Islam’s main issues and resistance and celebration of martyrs and jihad against occupiers and all the suppressors of suppressed nations.
One of the keynote speakers of the event was Moyedin Abudeqa, representative of Saeqa group in Palestine.
He underlined Iran’s role in support for the Palestinian nation and cause, calling for bolstering such festivals and moves in Palestine in order to promote resistance art.
The Saturday Hunter, Interact, the Ant and the Solomon, the Gas Regulator, All Alone, the Son, the House, the Canary, Mr. Islaeil, Our Playground, Iranian Sunni Population, and the Tabas Hunter were some of the works displayed during the 3-day festival in Gaza.
