The western Iranian city of Mashhad is home to the eighth Shiite Imam, Ali ibn Musa al-Reza (Peace be upon Him). The Imam Reza shrine in Mashahd receives millions of Muslims every year. The holy shrine contains mausoleum of the Imam, several mosques, seminaries, a museum and a library. “The Divine Whisper” is a touching documentary about a pious old man who serves the Imam and his pilgrims at the shrine. The elderly has been working at Naqqareh Khaneh (trumpet house) for nearly 70 years. The short film reviews his entire life as a ministrant of the shrine. It shows him doing his job at Naqqareh Khaneh enthusiastically and dedicatedly. During the interview, he recounts how his life and its events are intertwined with the eighth Shiite Imam and his continued support.
