TEHRAN (AIPFF) – Merlin Miller underlined the significance of independent movie makers on distribution of the truth among the general public, and lauded APFF for its initiative to cover productions by young talent and independent filmmakers in its international section.
He also argued that the Zionist regime is destructive to America. “I see Ammar is being a counter to that [dominance of Zionist lobbies]… and it’s inspiring for me to see so many filmmakers and the festival is growing so quickly,” he said.
He further added that independent filmmakers are doing whatever they can to prevent the dominance of the Zionist lobby on world’s movie making industry.
He also commented on censorship in the West, and said that censorship in western countries is ‘very real but not being obvious to most people. It’s done by controlling’ such festival and…. by controlling distribution of products.
He said that many film school programs are being controlled by Zionists and most of their graduates are Jewish students with special support.
Most filmmakers in the US do not find the chance to air their views in their country given the lobbies that prevent them from sending their products to the hands of their audiences, he added.
Miller went on to speak about his work entitled as the “False Flag” which focuses on the USS Liberty ship which was destroyed by Israeli state and the blame was put on Egyptians.
“I wanna do what I can to restore the goodness of America and that can best be accomplished by films, alternative films, and we have to find ways to reach the public and that’s the benefit of festivals like the Ammar Popular Film Festival,” Miller added. “We have to be creative to circumvent Hollywood’s controls.”
He further asserted that the APFF enjoys many audiences in the US but more should be done to access the American public for viewing Ammar’s movies.
He also admired APFF’s distribution model and said that the method should be modeled in the US and European countries to access different communities of people in those societies.
