TEHRAN (AIPFF) — The Iranian national TV displayed “Born in California”, a documentary by former US marine and army veteran Kenneth O’Keefe, on Tuesday May 31.
The film focuses on O’Keefe’s one-month stay in Tehran, the Iranian capital, and his experience visiting the Islamic Republic.
Who Iranian people view the US, why the US embassy was taken down in Iran by the people in the 80s, the impact of US-led sanctions on people’s lives, the post-sanctions economic climate in Iran, capturing of American marines by Iranian forces in Persian Gulf and Iran’s defense might are some of the areas the film has touched on.
Kenneth Nichols O’Keefe (born July 21, 1969) is an anti-NWO activist and former United States Marine and Gulf War veteran who renounced his US citizenship.
He led the human shield action to Iraq. On May 31, 2010 he was on board the Mavi Marmara – one of the six ships of the Gaza Freedom Flotilla, when it was attacked by Israeli naval forces. O’Keefe resisted the attack upon the ship and disarmed two Israeli commandos. The ship was taken to Israel where he was imprisoned and severely beaten.
