TEHRAN (AIPFF) – A member of the panel of judges of the 3rd Ammar Int’l Popular Film Festival (AIPFF) 2016 said the festival’s priority is to promote films that depict the true nature of Islam in line with the teachings of the Prophet’s House.
“Unfortunately, we [Iranian filmmakers] have been unable to properly touch on positive Islamic subjects in most of our films and there are huge gaps in this regard,” said Roohollah Rafiei, director, in a meeting of APFF’s judges. He said the qualified manpower must be trained or hired for this purpose so that profound Islamic topics will be addressed in the films produced by Iranians.
“APFF has filled a gap in Iran’s filmmaking industry because of its popular nature,” said APFF Secretary Nader Talebzadeh in the gathering. He said the festival is expected to propagate the nature of the Islamic Revolution of Iran and promote its cause across the Iranian borders.
The 3rd edition of Ammar International Popular Film Festival will be held in Tehran, Iran 2016.
