Hijab, Crucial Matter for Muslim Women

TEHRAN (AIPFF) – Ammar Int’l Film Festival has received various foreign films from around the world. One of them is called “Between Allah & Me (and Everyone Else)”.

“Between Allah & Me (and Everyone Else)” is a 2015 Canadian film directed by Kyoko Yokoma. This film meticulously talks about a crucial matter for Muslim women called Hijab. Four Muslim Women reside in Toronto have a new experience about their dress code in a western society. Capturing both deep emotions and humor, the film unveils how the hijab carries many diverse meanings and messages that may surprise non-Muslims, and also reveals the intricate and complex effects of hijab on Muslim women, their families and communities, and the larger multicultural society in the West.
